BEHEMOTH

                                                  


Behemoth adalah Black Metal / Blackened Death Metal / Death Metal band dari Gdańsk, Polandia, yang dibentuk pada tahun 1991.

Behemoth dianggap telah memainkan peran penting dalam pembentukan Extreme Metal Underground Polandia bersama dengan band-band seperti Vader, Decapitated, Vesania dan Hate.

Sampai akhir 1990-an, Behemoth memainkan gaya Black Metal traditional dengan lirik penyembahan berhala dan satanisme, tapi segera berubah dengan tema gaib dan thelemic, yang ditulis oleh Adam "Nergal" Darski dan Krzysztof Azarewicz.

Behemoth tampil di beberapa event-event live bergengsi seperti Wacken Open Air, With Full Force, Inferno Metal Festival, Mystic Festival dan Mind Over Matter Autumn. Behemoth memulai tur pertama mereka bersama Carpathian Forest dan Khold, kemudian tur di Polandia bersama Krisiun, Soulfly, Ministry dan Vader.

Pada tahun 2007, Behemoth tur Eropa bersama Napalm Death, Moonspell dan Dew-Scented. Pada bulan Juli dan Agustus 2009, Behemoth berpartisipasi dalam Rockstar Mayhem Festival bersama Slayer, Marilyn Manson, Bullet For My Valentine, Trivium, Cannibal Corpse, All That Remains dan Job For a Cowboy.
